This short animation by Adinda van ‘t Klooster is inspired on part of the Indian raga Bihag, performed by Sudokshina Chatterjee. Commissioned as part of the Khyal: Music and Imagination project, the brief was to visualize this performance of the raga. Ragas within Indian culture are often referred to as having a character and this gave the artist the idea to do a character animation. Using 3D and 2D animation and handmade drawings as well as computer animation, the artist has come to non-traditional character animation of a creature without eyes: half-plant, half-human, to visualize the mood of this raga about love.
